I love lazy breakfasts in restaurants – I told you about it a million times. When Maks wasn’t born yet, we loved spending our weekend mornings in R20 in Powiśle. It doesn’t exist anymore, but we ate breakfasts, read newspapers and even grabbed lunches there. This is where we went for our first breakfast with Maks when he was 1,5 weeks old! 🙂 It doesn’t matter that we have children now. We still love going out to eat, even though breakfast is something I’m best at making. Oats, porridge, chia puddings, smoothie bowls and healthy omelets – I know everything about them.

I love it when I can see my friend (and Jagódka) on some weekday and eat breakfast. I love it when we start our day with a breakfast with friends, which sometimes lasts until lunch. Such breakfasts inspired me to write our first breakfast post. It’s so hard to believe it’s almost two years old!!! Some places disappear, some we still like, some new are born. Here’s a list of places we liked the most recently when it comes to breakfasts! 🙂

1) NABO – 8 Zakręt Street (SADYBA)

I’ll admit, I had never been a huge fan of Nabo. We went there when it became the Brasserie of the Year, but we didn’t understand why it was so good. In fall, we fell in love with Nabo. We fell in love with their breakfasts. Wide choice – everybody will find something good: people who love meat, people on diets, kids, people who love sweet breakfast and people who prefer eggs. Perfect place for breakfast with a big group of kids, who can go to a play corner. Warm and cosy vibes. One of our favorites! Just remember: if you wanna go there on the weekend, book a table on Wednesday or Thursday 🙂 If you want some dessert, try aebleskiver, Dutch cakes that look like tiny donuts, served with vanilla ice cream and jam.

Their menu can be found HERE.

2) I LOVE JUICE – 2 Gieysztora Street (Miasteczko Wilanów)

Warszawa śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie w Warszawie, śniadanie na mieście, śniadanie z dziećmi, I Love Juice, zdrowe śniadanie, miasteczko wilanów

I already wrote about I Love Juice while talking about juices and healthy delicious lunches, but their breakfasts might be even better. First of all, they play by my favorite rule, which is “you eat breakfast whenever you want to” – this is why you don’t have to hurry up on weekends. Second of all, they have delicious healthy juices. Third – they have a wide choice and although the name may make you think that, it’s not a place for vegans on diet only 😉 Tuna, egg, tomato, spinach and mozzarella, salmon, ham, mackerel mousse sandwiches – I think I couldn’t decide! Of course, there’s also granola, porridge, oats…

They have a corner for kids and we’re considering going there with two crazy 5 year olds on Saturday 🙂

HERE you can find them on Facebook.

3) ŚNIADANIOWNIA – 38 Dąbrowskiego Street (MOKOTÓW)

Warszawa śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie w Warszawie, śniadanie na mieście, śniadanie z dziećmi, Śniadaniownia, Mokotów, omlet

It’s one of the longest running breakfast places in Warsaw. Just like the name suggests, it’s all about breakfasts because its closing time is 3PM on weekdays and 2PM on weekends. You can get crazy when it comes to breakfasts here, though – various sandwiches, scrambled eggs, omeletes (for example with goat cheese and spinach), sausages, bagels, French toasts with cinnamon. Everything!

You need to go downstairs, so it’s a little dark, but cosy. We wanted to sit outside, though. So we sat at a table by the street and we started our day in Parisian or Spanish way 🙂 But if you want to do it, you need to go there with a friend/lover, not with a group of children, because the street is rather small… 🙂

4) JUICE PRESS PEOPLE – 18 Bracka Street (City center)

When I found them on Facebook, I immediately knew I wanted to go there! I’ve seen smoothie bowls on Instagram, I’ve made them myself, now was the time to see how other people make them 😉 (BTW – do they make them anywhere else in Warsaw???). We went to Juice Press People in two (+Jagódka), for a Friday breakfast. It’s good it was just the two of us, because the place is tiny! Tiny and very healthy – they have sandwiches with olive paste, with avocado, sesame and lime (delicious!), with beet root hummus, goat cheese, pommagranate and orange, with tomato pesto, spinach and artichoke, they have salads, oats and a few kinds of smoothie bowls – strawberry-banana, choco, mango and acai. I chose choco with banana, strawberry, flax seeds, peanut butter, cocoa, plant milk, honey, coconut flakes, almonds. It’s like a dessert but I’m full for half a day! I’m gonna choose the mango one next time!

5) KUBEK W KUBEK CAFE – 16 Grażyny Street (MOKOTÓW)

Warszawa śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie w Warszawie, śniadanie na mieście, śniadanie z dziećmi, Kubek w Kubek

I went here with a friend to gossip and I was surprised I had never been here because Kubek is turning 4! The place is small, very cosy, where you want to be. This time it’s just a smoothie and a homemade granola with fruits, but I need to go back for more! There’s a corner for kids too, but a small one, so you’d rather not go there with 5 kids 🙂 A cool place to work, to sit with a newspaper, perfect for a good start to a winter day.

6) MILANOVO BREAD WINE CAFE – Puławska Street (MOKOTÓW)

I won’t write much about this place, because unlike other places on this list, this one has its own post in Polish. I love its design, its breakfast waffles, smoothies, wide choice. It’s perfect for a meeting with your friend or a breakfast date 🙂

7) PALMIER – 6/12 Żurawia Street (City Center)

Warszawa śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie w Warszawie, śniadanie na mieście, zdrowe śniadanie, Palmier

I’ll put it this way: out of all places listed here, I’m least enthusiastic about this one. I’m telling you about it if you’re looking for a place in the center to eat breakfast with a friend or a business partner. It’s too fashionable and too hipster for me, although they have delicious sandwiches 🙂 Oh, it’s not good for children – my friend brought her one year old and I brought Jagódka and it wasn’t a good idea 😉

8) SECRET LIFE CAFE – 15/19 Słowackiego Street (ŻOLIBORZ)

Warszawa śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie w Warszawie, śniadanie na mieście, śniadanie z dziećmi, Secret Life Cafe

Secret Life Cafe is not in my regular route and I haven’t been there in ageeees, but Ósma Kolonia and this place are always amazing to me when it comes to Żoliborz. Cosy place with a great atmosphere, perfect for gossip, perfect for work. Healthy breakfasts, great smoothies, shakes and other beauts. If your breakfast lasts till lunch, you need to go to the nearby Ósma Kolonia – one of the best vege places out there! 🙂

9) DELI PARIS – 1 Kazachska Street (Miasteczko Wilanów)

Warszawa śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie w Warszawie, śniadanie na mieście, śniadanie z dziećmi, Deli Paris

French style bistro. Culinarily it’s not my number 1 although their sandwiches and croissants are awesome! I’m just looking for something more 🙂 Deli Paris’ advantage is that, just like most places in Miasteczko Wilanów, it’s pro family, so they have a corner for kids. You can find them on Facebook HERE.

10) VIET STREET FOOD – 5/2 Królowej Aldony Street

Warszawa śniadanie, gdzie na śniadanie, wietnamskie śniadanie, Viet Street Food, Saska Kępa, zupa pho

I will let Łukasz speak a little bit too 🙂 He loves Asian brunches, especially pho soup, especially on some hard days 🙂 I save spicy soups and dumplings for breakfasts in Asia, he has to eat pho for breakfast at least twice a week… recently he’s been doing it at Viet Street Food. When he does it, I choose tofu sandwich 🙂

This is my – or our – list. I don’t love all these places equally, not all of them are perfect for every occasion, but I think you will find this list quite useful 🙂 My TOP 3 from this list are NABO, Milanovo and I Love Juice. Alright, Juice Press People is right behind them 🙂

Tomorrow I will have another breakfast with friends and kids, to have a good start to our weeknd 🙂 What do you recommend? We need a place good for two energetic 5 year olds, for someone who loves meat, for someone who loves healthy food and where they serve breakfasts at least until 12 AM 🙂
