Today I’m taking you to a beautiful and magical place, one of these we like the most. Just like the ones you like the most. In April I told you about Siedlisko Sobibór in the east of Poland, near Włodawa. It’s a charming, magical place where time is frozen and where you can take a break from everything. You will never want to leave. We did fell in love with Siedlisko, but we didn’t plan on going back there after a few months – we have so many places to see, visit and taste yet!
Since April, something’s changed. Aside from climatic cabins and two-story houses that reminded Maks of leprechaun houses, aside from an amazing stable where we would eat breakfasts, lunches and dinners, there are also houses amongst tree branches now in Siedlisko! They’re great, brand new, beautifully arranged, and kids will go crazy for them! We couldn’t go without writing about them!
There are two houses amongst tree branches in Siedlisko – they’re beautifully located and, as their name says, they’re amongst tree branches and with a beautiful view over the meadow. You need to walk across a wooden footbridge to get to them – you can rent them all year long and even though they seem small, there’s everything you need inside – a sofa in a small living room, a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and a place where you can sleep on the first floor. There’s also a terrace where you can sit all day and it will always be awesome. The most amazing thing you can see from there is Sowa because there’s nothing else behind it – no buildings, just fields, grass, nature, birds. The insides of the houses fits well with their themes – owls were everywhere in ours! Maks had another game because of that – “count all the owls” on pillows, curtains, hangers, cups and in every other unique place. Enchantment – I love all places polished up in every detail.
Another great attraction for Maks was a wooden “cart” to take your luggage to the houses, also perfect for taking your kid to the stable for breakfast or lunch and dinner in one 🙂 Łukasz was the one who had to pick up our little prince right at the door every time 🙂
There’s not much more to say: these houses are paradise! If you add Siedlisko Sobibór’s other advantages (the ones I wrote about in April) to it – the bucolic atmosphere, peace, nature, charming neighborhood – you will be in love with it. It’s a perfect place to get lazy, rest, take a walk or go kayaking on the Bug – we chose a route from Sławatycz to Jabłeczna this time and it was fabulous!!!
Siedlisko Sobibór is also food and I must admit, this time we liked it even more than before. Breakfasts with real country butter, home-made honey, jam and cheeses from a housewife eaten outside, with a view over the meadow – what can be better??? And the lunches and dinners where, to our happiness, local treats appeared too – dumplings with tomatoes called polesiaki (delicious!) or gryczaniki – mincemeat and buckwheat cutlets – Łukasz turned crazy because he ate 3 of them for one lunch! I couldn’t stay away from a moist plum pie with crumble. Paradise, paradise!
What else could I tell you – you just need to go there!!! 🙂 Fall this year is supposed to be beautiful, especially in SUCH place! 🙂
