Friday the 13th. We’ve been roaming around Thai islands and islets for almost two weeks. After a short start-up boot in Bangkok, which was necessary to feel Thailand, set a time on our clocks, get used to new time zone and soak in the scent of a huge city, we were on your way. Ko Pha Ngan<\/a>, Ko Samui, Ko Lanta and, finally, the amazing and magical Ko Ngai<\/a> (it’s our favorite island so far, and a place we will remember as the best) are behind us. But… Ko Ngai is not the only heavenly islet relatively close to Ko Lanta and Trang. There are more treasures like this and we could see some of them during the trip we took from Ko Ngai.<\/p>\n

We’re on Ko Lipe right now, but I’m slowly starting to regret we didn’t stay for two or three nights on Ko Mook… or maybe on Ko Kradan? \ud83d\ude42 Ko Lipe is amazing when it comes to blue waters, picturesque boats by the beach, but it can be a little off-putting during the season too – it’s crowded, you have to push and shove on the Walking Street, and the amount of long boats by the beach and loud noises they make sometimes make picturesque boats turn annoying. But I’ll tell you more about Ko Lipe in another post \ud83d\ude42 Now we’re headed to PARADISE! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

You can book a trip around surrounding islands on Ko Ngai. If you do it on Ko Lanta, you go to Ko Ngai as part of the trip. If you take off on Ko Ngai, the price of this few hours long trip (10 AM to 3 PM) is about 3000 BHT if it’s just you on your long boat. You can go in two, but you can be in a bigger group – we were planning on being one of two families on the boat and spread the price in half, but the second family got a little sick, so we had to go alone.<\/p>\n

We love all kinds of water trips on hot days – sun, wind in the hair and beautiful views – so we didn’t hesitate at all, even though we couldn’t take\u00a0upall possible activities because of Maks and Jag\u00f3dka. We couldn’t go snorkeling together \ud83d\ude09 The views are amazing, because (and this is the case with Andaman Sea) smaller and bigger rocky, green islands resurface at every inch – I was always impressed by it!<\/p>\n

Our first destination was Emerald Cave<\/strong>. The boat comes close to the rocks. This is when everybody can wear a life-jacket and jump into the water with swimming fins on. \u0141ukasz was the only one who decided to do it. Maks was a little scared of getting into the water so far from the land, and I needed to carry Jag\u00f3dka \ud83d\ude09 You need to swim for a little while to get inside the cave, but what you see inside is very impressive. I won’t tell you about it cause I would spoil it for you! The only thing I can say is that it’s worth it and that it has something to do with pirates \ud83d\ude42 You will see for yourself! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

There was snorkeling on the way too. Then we went to Ko Kradan<\/strong>. Once we approached the island, the views became so beautiful that I started to wonder whether we should come here after Ko Ngai. Kradan is definitely another heavenly islet – it’s tiny (even smaller than Ko Ngai), with no roads, stores or cash machines. With blue water, boats, lots of green plants and possibilities of heavenly rest. The beach seems less impressive than the one by Ko Ngai, though – it’s very narrow and pretty sunless. But shadow can be a good thing too. You can stay at bungalows located right by the beach (from what I can see there are less overnight stay options than on Ko Ngai), you can eat lunch in one of its restaurant. And this is what this place looks like:<\/p>\n

On our way back from Ko Kradan to Ko Ngai, there was another stop for snorkeling by one of island-rocks. Then we kept going. Unfortunately, we only saw Ko Mook<\/strong> from the speed boat to Ko Lipe that we were on. Too bad, because I can see it’s beautiful and we could have spent 2-3 nights there… Ko Mook is bigger than Ko Ngai or Ko Kradan. The are more overnight stay options. They have beautiful white beaches, blue water, but there’s also a store and a doctor, which is absent on other heavenly islands \ud83d\ude09 If it wasn’t for the tickets to Ko Lipe that we already had, I would definitely stay here! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
