This is not going to be a comprehensive Wroc\u0142aw cuisine guide. This isn’t even going to be a list of 10 best or most unique places on Wroc\u0142aw’s culinary map. Having 1 and a half day to spend there and around 10-12 hours to walk around and see the town, you can’t really check out every culinary spot of the town you haven’t been to for 4 years. But keeping my eyes open and listening to some good hints, I managed to visit\u00a0a few cool places anyway. You may need them if you go\u00a0to Wroc\u0142aw for a weekend or for work, like I did \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) FOR BREAKFAST AND FOR LUNCH: DINETTE<\/a> – Pl. TEATRALNY 8<\/h3>\n

The only place I visited that got its own post – right HERE<\/a>! I had heard a lot about it and right before my arrival in Wroc\u0142aw, it’s kept coming back to me obsessively in the answers for my question “where to eat in Wroc\u0142aw?” They became famous with their restaurant in Sky Tower (never been there!), but now they have a restaurant on Pl. Teatralny near the opera house as well – it’s close to the Main Square, just a walk down \u015awidnicka Street away. It’s a modern, stylish, spacious place with masterful food! Breakfast menu – I think it’s the best one in Poland; lunch menu – intruguiging, unique, seasonal. You should try almond cold soup with almonds, and for breakfast… oh well… I would eat everything!:) More pictures and opinions HERE<\/a>,<\/p>\n

2) FOR PIZZA AND FOR LUNCH: PIEC NA SZEWSKIEJ <\/a>\u2013 Szewska 44-46 Street<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When I was running\u00a0a huge exploratory project online three years ago and I had a lot of respondents from Wroc\u0142aw, I would always ask them for their opinions on trendy places in Wroc\u0142aw with delicious food. Not for me – it was for the research focusing on what’s trendy. I remember Piec na Szewskiej<\/strong> was one of the places they came up with. I didn’t know if it was still good but we decided to take a risk and try the pizza. It’s great – typically Italian, with real mozzarella cheese, yummy sauce, good dough and cool toppings. I recommend the Diabelska one, but only if you like spicy food! If you feel like eating pizza in Wroc\u0142aw, go there. It’s a perfect spot for your stop or lunch on your way from the Main Square to Ostr\u00f3w Tumski.<\/p>\n

But WATCH OUT: it gets really crowded!:)<\/p>\n

3) FOR\u00a0SUSHI, FOR LUNCH AND FOR DINNER: SZAJNOCHY 11 <\/a>\u2013 Szajnochy 11 Street<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We don’t often eat sushi outside of Warsaw. We have our favorite places, favorite sushi masters and usually we don’t look for anything more. While traveling across Poland, we prefer to eat in places more typical and characteristic than sushi bars. This time I made an exception, especially since Maks was the one who felt like eating sushi. We went to the recommended Szajnochy 11. It’s a Friday night, there are huge crowds around the Main Square, so when you feel like finding some peace, you should go to Szajnochy 11. It’s a pretty big place with a huge sushi bar and a spacious hall with tables. We ordered cliche makis – with roasted salmon, butterfish, squid in tempura. Last but not least, we need miso. It’s difficult to tell whether sushi masters are good or not when you have such order, but it’s easier to tell whether I would come back. I DEFINITELY WOULD – there’s a lot of wish, not much rice, delicate makis, everything tastes heavenly. I would have a few remarks when it comes to the service, but if I was in Wroc\u0142aw again and felt like eating sushi, I would go to Szajnocha 11 anyway! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\u00a04) FOR BREAKFAST: GISELLE<\/a> \u2013 Szewska 27 Street<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Outside of Dinette, Central Cafe<\/a>\u00a0was mentioned by the most people when it comes to breakfast places. It’s famous for American style bagels. I really wanted to eat one but we didn’t have much time before catching our train. I needed a place closer to our base. I flipped through recommended places again and found the French Giselle<\/strong> on Szewska 27 Street. From Monday to Saturday it’s open from 8 (on Sundays – from 10) o’clock, and breakfasts are served all day long. As soon as you enter, you can feel French air – French music, baguettes, croissants. We order scrambled eggs, salmon, egg and arugola sandwich and omelette – I just need to try how good their French traits are! Omelette tastes like the ones in Paris, the sandwich is amazing, so for dessert we order amazingly sweet Pain Perdu with a huge amount of fruits. Delicious start of a day!<\/p>\n

5) FOR ICE CREAM: LIZING<\/a> – \u015awidnicka 30 \/ 32 Street

When it comes to places serving ice cream, I heard people recommend Lody Barton on the Main Square and my Uber driver praised Polish Lody. By accident, we found artisanal ice cream places called LIZING, located right next to Dinette. You can go inside, you can buy through the window. The tastes vary – you can get ice cream based on cream or sorbets. I’ve heard they’re famous for their prosecco icea cream, the Kinder Bueno flavor has a lot of fans too. We decided to try chocolate and hazelnut. LIZING became one of my top ice cream places – it’s somewhere amongst Warsaw’s Ulica Ba\u015bniowa <\/a> and Amorino ice cream that we always try to find everywhere in the world (the last time we found them was in Nice and on Malta). I wish I had tried the Mascarpone with cookies ice cream, though!<\/p>\n

I didn’t have much time for Wroc\u0142aw. We got there at 1 PM on Thursday, at 3 PM I went to work, and then, obviously, we had to watch the football game. On Friday we got to sightsee a little bit in the morning, we ate something and on 3PM I started work again. Our train was leaving on 11 AM on Saturday… even though there was so little time, thanks to good (sometimes forcing us to change our plans, and sometimes making me feel that my plans are the best) recommendations, the trip was full of delicious food! \ud83d\ude42 My thank yous go especially to cooking and eating bloggers (Czosnek w Pomidorach<\/a>, Jaja w Kuchni, Crust and Dust,<\/a> Magiczny Sk\u0142adnik<\/a> and ChiliBite<\/a>) and everybody else that knows what’s up.
