4 years ago at this time I was lying in hospital bed and wondering what will happen tomorrow. The tenant in my belly was in no hurry. He had to be begged and convinced to enter this world. The day was absolutely hot – maybe that’s why Maks likes trips to hot countries so much and doesn’t mind 40 degrees heat? He finally showed up on 1st June at 5 pm. And what? Everything has changed – that’s what everybody keeps saying after giving birth to a child. Some things changed, yes… We started living as a trio with new duties and limitations, but also with a new, little big wonder. I won’t say that at that time our life gained purpose. It always had a purpose – different at different stages of life.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4 years have passed. It’s hard to believe that it actually was 4 years. That’s quite a lot! 4 years of fantastic adventures, sometimes complaining, shouts and cries, but more often hugs and discovering the world together. 4 years spent in various places all over the world, in sunshine or in the snow, on the beach, in the mountains or in a tuk tuk. 4 years of great experiences. A few dozen flights, thousands of kilometres driven in the car, taxis, tuk tuks and night trains. No significant illnesses (thank God!), no bad experiences. And what did they say? ‘But how? With a child???’, ‘He’s too young for such trips!!’, ‘What if he gets a food poisoning\/an illness\/fever\/diarrhoea \/ etc.?’ We did our thing. Today we know that it was the best choice possible and that we made the best decisions. Somebody once said ‘you’re living a dream!’ That’s true and the child changed nothing in our approach. We still want more, more and more! It’s just three of us instead of two right now!<\/p>\n

And if somebody ever tries to discourage you and tell you that the best thing you could do with a child is sit at home show him this entry… Maks’ 4 years on the road!<\/p>\n
