Last Sunday, \u0141ukasz’ partner called him in the morning and asked us a question that we often ask ourselves on weekend mornings: where can I have lunch with a child\/children? Weekend, more time, family together. What’s next? Where to go? Especially if you have 3 boys and like to eat with friends? We started chatting about various places where he can go with his little ‘kindergarten’. We started with the obvious ones, then more and more new ideas started popping up. We decided not to keep this list to ourselves and share it with you! \ud83d\ude42 I mean, lots of us have one, two (or even three!) kids and despite that, like to have lunch out on weekends. Because we’re tired of cooking, it’s nice to go for a walk and not limit ourselves to ‘the lunch is ready at home’ situation. You can meet your friends who also have children and so on.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So, here’s the list for the parents… or people who have no kids but care about the comfort of their friends who do \ud83d\ude42 Those who stay in Warsaw can try it during the long weekend and the rest on the remaining winter weekends. When the rain, snow and frost come, this list will come in handy!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1) VIDELEC<\/a> – ul Gr\u00f3jecka 194 (Ochota)<\/h3>\n

Lately, a definite leader with a big advantage of being one of the few restaurants in our neighbourhood. Food is tasty and good and the place is perfect for kids. Large kids’ corner, toys, cotton swings, lots of books and a big black wall kids can draw on with chalk. A baby changing table in the bathroom along with wet wipes and… more toys! Kids’ menu includes all time classics and the older ones can have a delicious pizza! To make it simple: they thought about everything!<\/p>\n

2) KURA DOMOWA<\/a> – ul. Zwole\u0144ska 81\/ 3 (Wawer)<\/h3>\n

Kura is great! It’s one of our first family discoveries and it’s still one of our favourites, even though we rarely go there (why does it have to be so far???). Not just a kids’ corner, but a playroom that lately has been fitted with foosball too, and in the bathroom – a forgetful parent’s corner with wet wipes and anti nappy rash cream. Great way to meet customers’ needs! The food is a modern, seasonal and very tasty take on Polish cuisine with some cool kids’ dishes such as cinnamon apple pancakes or mini burgers. The place is good for ordinary visits and for special occasions such as kids’ birthdays! If you live near, don’t hesitate a moment!<\/p>\n

Culinarily, it’s definitely a no. 1 among the children-friendly restaurants.<\/strong> The food is simple, yet amazing. Menu changes often, the combinations are original, the cakes are heavenly and they serve the best foccacia in town for starters! Kids can have a free-range chicken with potatoes, poured noodles and soups.<\/p>\n

One more advantage in the summer: the garden. Games, jigsaw puzzle and books in the autumn and winter. And the vibe… like at home (DOM means home).<\/p>\n

4) BOMBAJ MASALA <\/a>– al. Jana Paw\u0142a II 23<\/h3>\n

Do you like Indian cuisine? We do! Not too often, cause usually after an Indian lunch we just ‘roll’ out of the restaurant, but we still like to have chicken tikka masala<\/em>, crispy samosas, naan bread or creamy butter chicken<\/em> from time to time. Bombaj Masala always reminds us of our trip to India in 2010… beautiful and colourful memories. It’s a perfect place to have lunch with kids, especially on Sunday, because from 2 – 6 pm, there’s not only a kids’ corner but also an activity organiser.<\/p>\n

5) GAR JAKUBIAKA<\/a> – ul. Jasna 10 (r\u00f3g Sienkiewicza)<\/h3>\n

One of the few children-friendly places in the city centre. A moderately new restaurant, lots o space and Tomasz Jakubiak known from Kuchnia + TV channel as a chef. It’s tasty but we hope it will improve a little bit! \ud83d\ude42 Pumpkin leniwe dumplings with vanilla sauce are amazing, though – perfect both for kids and for adults. Apart from that, the menu is short yet varied, so that everybody can find something they like. On weekends kids’ corner is operational with occasional extra activities for the little ones.<\/p>\n

Nabo is a place hidden somewhere on tiny alleys of Sadyba and at the same time, the best restaurant of 2012. We never really liked the food, but I know that it’s quite popular and my friend whose likes I trust also says it’s OK. Maybe we got there in the wrong hour? Anyway, they have a large playroom full of attractions for kids. A place to have lunch or coffee. It’s also close to the park in Wilan\u00f3w, so you can combine lunch with a walk.<\/p>\n

7) IZUMI SUSHI <\/a>– ul. Bia\u0142y Kamie\u0144 4<\/h3>\n

Most children-friendly sushi place in town. Lots of high chairs, lots of space to run around, a playground in the summer and kids’ lunch sets including sushi for PLN 1 which makes it easy to check if your little one likes sushi without going bankrupt. The restaurant is in a former palm house building which makes it a perfect spot for a lazy weekend. The service may not be the best in the world, but that’s what you have to cope with to make your child happy \ud83d\ude42 It’s a pity they removed the toy corner lately.<\/p>\n

8) VILANO<\/a> – ul. Kazachska 1 (Miasteczko Wilan\u00f3w)<\/h3>\n

Vilano is a great place for all who love pasta<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Miasteczko Wilan\u00f3w is known for children-friendly places. Even in Coffee Heaven, you can find a kids’ table, crayons and colourful balloons! VILANO is one of the restaurants that stand out. Very innovative pizzas (lavender, rosemary honey, grapes, gorgonzola or pumpkin, mascarpone, thyme pancetta) and tasty pastas. Kids’ corner isn’t particularly big, but he place is very nice. I got hungry just from browsing through their current menu. I guess I have to get back there quickly for beetroot, goats chese and rucola gnocchi or for pumpkin pizza!<\/p>\n

9) TASTE WILAN\u00d3W<\/a> – also ul. Kazachska 1 (Miasteczko Wilan\u00f3w)<\/h3>\n

Taste Wilan\u00f3w is just a few steps from Vilano… There, you will also find a nice kids’ corner. The food used to be good in the beginning, then it varied. Lately they changed the menu and… the chef. Maybe it’s worth a try? As you can see, the kid’s corner is quite cool!<\/p>\n

10) FOUR SEASONS<\/a> – ul. Ho\u017ca 27 a (Centrum)<\/h3>\n

Vietnamese cuisine in a pleasant surrounding? It’s not that easy in Warsaw! Best Vietnamese food is served in shady joints, on bazaars or in the halls on ul. Marywilska. Four Seasons is a good idea if you want to try something Vietnamese, but with family, kids, on Sunday. Very tasty fresh spring rolls, great soups (i.e. bun thang), however pho is still better on ul. Chmielna<\/a> \ud83d\ude42 Kids’ corner and some children’s attractions are available too. For all Asian flavours’ lovers.<\/p>\n

One of a kind again. Basil & Lime is probably the only Thai restaurant that remembers about the youngest guests. They have kids’ meals, little play corner, crayons. Intimate, peaceful, good for small groups with children.<\/p>\n

The only place on the list where I won’t redirect you to our impressions since we haven’t been in El Greco for a while. The standards were always high when it comes to food, not that high when it comes to service. There was a kids’ corner, bricks and books. And cuisine reminding us of holidays on Crete! Check how it looks now and let us know. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
