Monday morning, we landed in Glasgow<\/strong>. Wizzair, straight from Warsaw Chopin airport, worth recommending, especially if you find some cheap fares. We landed and hurried to get our rented car at Europcar<\/strong>. Tired after last weekend (beer festival in Plsen – we’ll write more about that soon! :)), but happy to finally be here!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Scotland has been on \u0141ukasz’ travel dreams list for long<\/strong> and it didn’t take much persuasion to interest me too! Being fascinated with Ireland and amazed by British Cotswolds we counted on Scotland becoming an eye candy and a great destination for a week-long trip. After 24 hours spent here, we already know that it’s exactly how it is! AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, HEAVENLY! The views are breathtaking and even a theoretically boring car trip from A to B is full of beautiful places that make you wanna stop and take pictures all the time!<\/p>\n

We quickly left Glasgow and drove to Balmaha<\/strong> by the Loch Lomond<\/strong> lake. We drove at night an didn’t see much, we barely found our huts at Oak Tree Inn!<\/strong><\/a>. A charming place – recommended if you find yourselves in Central Scotland! You could have already seen the amazing interior design at our Facebook<\/a>. Arriving at a place you’ve never been to at night has one more advantage: in the morning you wake up, walk outside of your little house and try to believe how beautiful it is around here!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, we had to leave Balmaha quickly and move to a small town of Luss<\/strong>, also located by Loch Lomond<\/strong> lake. A perfect place for an autumn walk – sleepy streets, stone houses, feeding seagulls\u00a0on the beach, a little gothic church surrounded with graves and running around on the grass still wet from ROSA. Maks was more than happy! You can also board a lake cruise in Luss. The lake is the biggest fresh lake in Great Britain and thanks to 37 little islands located on it, also one of the most beautiful locations in Scotland.<\/p>\n

After some lazy time in Luss, we went along towards Lock Fyne and the town of Inveraray. The views on the road never ceased to amaze us!<\/p>\n

We stopped by for lunch in the famous Loch Fyne Restaurant & Oyster Bar<\/strong><\/a> specialising in oysters, fish and seafood. I don’t have to tell you, that it’s what we came here for! You know us and you know that we love all kinds of places that are known for fish and sea food! We also love fish & chips bought at little joints which makes Scotland a culinary bullseye for us. Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is located in Cairndow and the place itself was established in the beginning of 80s! It’s quite famous and most of all, beautifully decorated – we will surely get back to it on the blog later on!<\/p>\n

The restaurant is just a few steps away from another charming little town – Inveraray<\/strong> by Loch Fyne bay. There’s an impressive Inveraray castle from 1789 in the centre, a former prison and…. a whisky shop called Loch Fyne Whiskies which sells various types of whisky, rare specimens and even some bottles worth as much as several dozen\u00a0thousand dollars! Even though the castle is still inhabited, some representative rooms are open for tourism with adult tickets priced 10 pounds.<\/p>\n

We left Inveraray for Loch Leven<\/a>, our hotel located by the lake in North Ballachullish. However, we couldn’t have missed Kilchurn Castle<\/strong> by lake Loch Awe on our way. A 15th century castle looks absolutely stunning with water in the background! I don’t know how true it is since we haven’t seen much yet, but it is supposed to be one of the most picturesque locations in Scotland.<\/p>\n

After Kilchurn castle we decided to relax a bit, especially with Maks suffering from some gastric problems – quite unlucky for the first day! Hopefully, it will be better today! That’s how our first day in Scotland went:<\/p>\n

Today we’re leaving towards Loch Ness<\/strong> to see the monster! \ud83d\ude42 Keep your fingers crossed then! \ud83d\ude42 I guess that even if don’t see it, the views are going to be as pretty as yesterday! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
